Today, we attended the Best Little Cowboy Gathering in Texas to see my cousin perform with her bluegrass fiddle band. She plays the electric bass guitar in this particular group. I was so proud of how well she did! The group was so great and played upbeat, fun music. I found myself having to look at the other children because when I looked at her I became emotional and nearly cried. She's grown up so quickly and I just can't believe she is heading off to college soon! Watching her up on stage at this transitional period in her life really made me stop and think about how much time I have left to enjoy Sophia as a student. I'm so grateful I get to work where my baby attends school. I want to appreciate every moment I have to interact with her in a school setting because I realize so many people don't have that luxury. I'm pretty lucky!
Tomorrow we head back to Missouri. We are facing about a 10 hour drive. I'm hoping to get home in time to post some pictures from my laptop before crashing.
