I drove to work without even thinking about where I was going. Once I arrived, I had trouble remembering where I left off on my never ending list of tasks at work. I walked to and from various spots in my office, setting things here and there, picking things up and moving them to a new spot, and sitting down and standing up. My productivity was quite low! I had a meeting at the end of the day, and I found it difficult to articulate my thoughts and ideas. The clouds were thick.
After school I wanted to sit outside and enjoy the sunny weather, but I needed a moment to rest my eyes and try to break through the clouds. Once I felt rejuvenated, I was able to spend some time with my daughter building miniature houses and huts with broken twigs, leaves, and pebbles. I hobbled barefoot around the yard, occasionally stepping on painful acorns, and started to feel like the clouds were thinning.
The sun has set, the sky is dark, and the clouds have finally cleared. I feel aware, crisp, and ready to put in an 8 hour day. Too bad it's my bedtime. It looks like tomorrow might be another cloudy day.
